MTV Searches for New Elle Woods In Talent Contest

February 10, 2008 - This spring, MTV will host a new talent search called "Legally Blonde: The Search for the New Elle Woods." A premiere date has not been set, but producers are keeping an eye out to replace Tony Award winning actress Laura Bell Bundy. Some sources say based on the "Grease" talent show, people are hoping this contest will promote better sales for the musical at the box office.

This opportunity also give talented people all over the world the chance to become part of the Broadway scene. Those interested in taking part in the talent contest must have talent beyond singing and dancing. Acting is an important part of the musical and is a must to be the next Elle Woods. Legally Blonde the Musical Makes Off-Broadway Appearance

February 12, 2008 - It was recently announced that Legally Blonde the Musical will make a stop at the Schuster Performing Arts Center in Dayton, Ohio. The addition is part of a set of other Broadway productions making its way to the big stage. Other musicals include The Color Purple, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Other possible musicals include Wicked and The Phantom of the Opera. (2/13/08)
